Washington Adult Family Home Infection Prevention and Control Collaborative

Hand WashingWashington Adult Family Homes (AFH) face unprecedented challenges to maintain effective infection prevention and control programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. To support their efforts to prevent and manage COVID-19, a new infection prevention training and consultation initiative has been commenced for AFH owners, operators and staff.

Comagine Health, in partnership with the Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), DSHS Health Healthcare-Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance Program and the Washington Adult Family Home Council, seeks to advance infection prevention during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. As part of this work an eight-part, interactive virtual learning series is being held September through December 2020, Wednesdays 2-3 p.m. PT. Sessions are open to all staff and owners working in licensed Adult Family Homes in the state of Washington and are designed to help staff implement or enhance their infection prevention and control programs. In addition, Comagine Health’s team of Infection Prevention Advisors will be available to answer questions during monthly Infection Prevention “Office Hours” sessions as well as through individual consultation.

Recordings of past webinars and supporting resources from the learning collaborative are available below. Each session focuses on a specific aspect of implementing a successful infection prevention and control program in your setting. Tools and forms that are general in nature and may apply to multiple sessions are located under Tools below.
